AN EVENT IN THE HEART OF CAEN

Seven of the competitions will be staged in the region’s capital, Caen. This centralized approach means that existing facilities will be used for the event.  D’Ornano Stadium will host the opening and closing ceremonies, the Jumping and Dressage competitions, as well as the Jumping test of the Eventing competition. The Para-Dressage and Driving competitions will take place in the Prairie racecourse, in the city-centre. The “Zenith” indoor arena and the exhibition centre will respectively be the home of the Vaulting and Reining competitions.

COMPETITIONS STAGED IN NORMANDY’S LEGENDARY SITES

Located in the heart of the Orne region, Le Pin National Stud, also known as the “Versailles for horses”, will host the Cross-Country and Dressage phases of the Eventing competition. The legendary Bay of Mont St Michel (in the Manche area) will provide a magnificent backdrop for the 160km Endurance encounter that will set off from the town of Sartilly to circle around the bay.
The towns of Saint-Lô (Manche) and Deauville (Calvados) both boast high-quality equestrian facilities and will each host a demonstration discipline: Horse-Ball and Polo.
